Dr. Katz joined the animal clinic staff in June 1996. She is a 1994 graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a familiar face to many of our clients who stop by on the weekends and is loved by clients and staff for her great sense of humor!
Dr. Katz was inspired to go into the field because she grew up with pets and always had a strong interest in medicine. She loves coming to work because of the people she gets to interact with, both staff and clients. Her love of pets and people carries over into her hobbies; she has been doing work as a volunteer at Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program (NVTRP) where she works with amazing horses and handicapped individuals.
She is married and has a son and a daughter, a Russian Tortoise named Milo, and two dogs and two cats named after the Peanut characters: Linus (cat), Charlie Brown (cat), Snoopy (dog), and Lucy (dog). She also enjoys yoga and Moth Story Slams.
